LEDs back to Neon

The main Hippodrome sign is a landmark of Bristol city centre. Cabot Neon Signs were asked to reproduce the sign in neon as the current LED system was in constant need of repair and did not give the brightness and overall impact of neon. In November 2014 Cabot Neon Signs carried out a full manufacture and install of the high level Hippodrome sign returning it back to its brilliant neon best.

12mm clear glass was blown by hand over a period of 5 days and pumped with neon gas, producing the double outline text – “HIPPODROME”.
